General terms and conditions - Smaak

These general conditions apply to all orders, deliveries and services through the official webshop www.smaakamsterdam.nl, property of Smaak Retail B.V., based in Amsterdam.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms and conditions below.


1. General

Smaak Amsterdam exclusively operates the official webshop www.smaakamsterdam.nl.
Other websites selling Smaak products are independent resellers.

If you see our brand unrealistically low-priced elsewhere or don't trust it, report it to support@smaakamsterdam.nl it may be a fake web shop.
Smaak Amsterdam is not responsible for orders placed through unofficial websites or resellers.
In the event of non-delivery by a fake web shop, we cannot provide a refund or delivery, but we can file a report so that the site is removed.


2. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices include VAT.
  • The displayed currency automatically adjusts to the customer's country.
  • Payment is required to complete the order.
  • Smaak Amsterdam reserves the right to change prices, products or information at any time.

3. Delivery

We ship worldwide.
The delivery time is indicative and depends on the destination.
After shipment you will receive an e-mail with a track & trace link.

Delivery times

  • Items in stock: shipping within 1-3 business days.
  • Items from store stock: delivery on average within 3-7 working days.
  • In case of delay or unavailability, you will receive notification by e-mail.

Shipping Partners and Delay

We work with reliable carriers, but cannot influence delays or errors during transport.
In the case of missing packages, an investigation is launched, which usually takes 14 working days.
Delays or investigations do not entitle you to compensation.


4. Free shipping

For orders over €150,- you pay no shipping costs.
If part of the order is returned and the remaining amount falls below €150,-, shipping costs will still be charged.


5. Returns & Refunds.

You have the right to return your order within 14 days of receipt.
Products must be unworn, undamaged and in original packaging.

Returns within Europe

  • Netherlands: €5 return charge (free in store).
  • Belgium and Germany: €8.50 return fee.
  • Other EU countries: €12.50 return fee.

Returns outside the EU

Customers outside the EU are responsible for return shipping and associated costs.
Any shipping, import or export costs will not be refunded.

Return Procedure

  • Use the QR code on the packing slip to report the return.
  • Returns can also be returned free of charge at one of our stores.
  • Refunds will be made within 7 business days of receipt and inspection of the return.

Returns of items purchased from resellers will not be accepted.


6. Warranty

Our products are made with care.
Smaak Amsterdam only guarantees manufacturing defects.
These defects are usually immediately visible upon receipt or come to light shortly after initial use - think loose stitching, a non-closing zipper or a manufacturing defect in the leather.

Damage caused by use, normal wear and tear, improper handling, lack of maintenance or carelessness is not covered by the warranty.
In case of a suspected manufacturing defect, please contact us at info@smaakamsterdam.nl within a reasonable time , preferably with a photo of the problem.


7. Liability

Smaak Amsterdam is not liable for direct or indirect damage caused by incorrect use of products.
Liability will at all times be limited to the purchase price of the item in question.

We are not responsible for misunderstandings, delays or errors caused by the use of the Internet or means of communication between the customer and Smaak Amsterdam, unless there is gross negligence.


8. Force majeure

In case of force majeure, our obligations are temporarily suspended.
If the situation continues for more than two months, both parties may terminate the agreement without compensation.

Force majeure means circumstances beyond our control, including strikes, natural disasters, import bans or supplier failures.


9. Privacy & Data Processing

We respect your privacy and process personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).
