Delivery and Shipping

Packing on delivery

When you receive your bag, it is carefully wrapped in paper. We do this to keep the bag in good shape and protected during storage and transportation.

During quiet periods, we often already remove the protective paper for you. During busier times, such as SALE, this may not be possible. No worries: you can easily remove the paper yourself.

Tip: let your bag "breathe" for a while afterward. The leather will mold itself back nicely - think of it as a short beauty sleep for your bag!

Notice: If you order multiple items and return (part of) them, causing the final purchase amount to fall below the free shipping threshold, shipping costs will still be charged.

New customs regulations have been in effect since August 29, 2025. As a result, import duties and taxes are always charged (on average USD 80–200, depending on the order value).

We will cover the import duties. Please note, however, that regional taxes may apply; these are the responsibility of the recipient. FedEx Express will collect these charges directly upon delivery.

Due to current circumstances, we are unfortunately unable to ship orders to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at this time.

  • Did you receive an incomplete order? Please report this within 7 days. Damaged items must also be reported within 7 days and returned to us within 14 days.
  • Smaak Retail B.V. is not liable for any import duties, taxes or customs fees charged by local authorities outside the European Union. These charges vary by country and are entirely the responsibility of the recipient.

Return Policy

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility for all countries. You can easily create a return label and pay immediately through our return portal. The costs are automatically calculated when you create the label.

With your order, you will receive a packing slip with a QR code. By scanning this code, you will be taken directly to the correct return portal.

You can create a shipping label through the returns portal and pay for it immediately. After payment, you will receive the return label via email. For shipments outside the EU, the necessary customs documents are also automatically included.

Returns outside the EU can only be shipped via FedEx. Within the EU, you can select a carrier yourself through the portal.

With most carriers, you don’t need a printer. You simply show the barcode on your phone at the drop-off point, where the label will be printed for you.
