General Terms and Conditions - Taste Amsterdam

These general terms and conditions apply to all orders, deliveries and services via the official webshop www.smaakamsterdam.nl, owned by Smaak Retail BV, located in Amsterdam.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms and conditions below.

1. General

Smaak Amsterdam exclusively manages the official webshop www.smaakamsterdam.nl.
Other websites that sell Smaak products are independent resellers.

If you see our brand priced unrealistically low elsewhere or if you don't trust it, please report it to support@smaakamsterdam.nl. It may be a fake webshop.
Smaak Amsterdam is not responsible for orders placed through unofficial websites or resellers.
If a fake webshop fails to deliver, we cannot provide a refund or delivery, but we can report the situation so the site can be removed.

2. Prices & Payment

• All prices include VAT.
• The displayed currency automatically adjusts to the customer's country.
• Payment is required to complete the order.
• Smaak Amsterdam reserves the right to change prices, products or information at any time.

3. Delivery

We ship worldwide.
The delivery time is indicative and depends on the destination.
After shipping you will receive an email with a track & trace link.

Delivery times

• Items in stock: ships within 1-3 business days.
• Items from store stock: delivery within 3-7 working days on average.
• In case of delay or unavailability you will receive a message by email.

Shipping Partners and Delays

We work with reliable carriers, but we have no influence on delays or errors during transport.
In case of missing packages, an investigation is started which usually takes 14 working days.
Delay or investigation does not entitle you to compensation.

4. Free shipping

For orders above €150, you pay no shipping costs.
If part of the order is returned and the remaining amount is less than €150, shipping costs will still be charged.

5. Returns & Refunds.

You have the right to return your order within 14 days of receipt.
Products must be unworn, undamaged and in original packaging.

Returns within Europe

• Netherlands: €5 return shipping (free in store).
• Belgium and Germany: €8.50 return costs.
• Other EU countries: €12.50 return costs.

Returns outside the EU

Customers outside the EU are responsible for return shipping and associated costs.
Any shipping, import or export costs will not be reimbursed.

Return procedure

• Use the QR code on the packing slip to register the return.
• Returns can also be dropped off free of charge at one of our stores.
• Refunds will be made within 7 working days after receipt and inspection of the return.

Returns of items purchased from resellers will not be accepted.

6. Warranty

Our products are made with care.
Smaak Amsterdam only provides a warranty on manufacturing defects.
These defects are usually immediately visible upon receipt or come to light shortly after first use - for example , loose stitching, a non-closing zipper or a manufacturing defect in the leather.

Damage caused by use, normal wear and tear, improper handling, lack of maintenance or carelessness is not covered by the warranty.
In case of a suspected manufacturing defect, please contact us within a reasonable time via info@smaakamsterdam.nl, preferably with a photo of the problem.

7. Liability

Smaak Amsterdam is not liable for direct or indirect damage caused by incorrect use of products.
Liability remains at all times limited to the purchase price of the item in question.

We are not responsible for any misunderstandings, delays, or errors arising from the use of the internet or other means of communication between the customer and Smaak Amsterdam, unless there is gross negligence.

8. Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure, our obligations will be temporarily suspended.
If the situation lasts longer than two months, either party may terminate the agreement without compensation.

Force majeure refers to circumstances beyond our control, including strikes, natural disasters, import bans, or supplier disruptions.

9. Privacy & Data Processing.

We respect your privacy and process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Retention periods

• Administration: 7 years (legal obligation)
• Customer data: maximum 2 years after last contact
• Newsletter: until unsubscribe

You have the right to access, correction, deletion, objection and data portability.

We use functional, analytical and marketing cookies.

11. Intellectual property

All content (text, photos, designs, and logos) on www.smaakamsterdam.nl is the property of Smaak Amsterdam or is used with permission.
Use without written permission is prohibited.

12. Applicable law

Dutch law applies to all purchases and agreements.
Disputes will be submitted exclusively to the competent court in Amsterdam.
